OutKast celebrates 25th anniversary of “ATLiens” with deluxe album, custom collections and more

On Aug. 27, 1996, OutKast hit mainstream airwaves with their second studio album “ATLiens.”
With nearly 2 million copies sold nationwide and double-platinum certification, OutKast generated Billboard charting hits — “Elevators (Me & You),” “ATLiens” and “Jazzy Belle” — that elevated the hip-hop duo from Atlanta’s underground music scene.

Atlanta rapper Latto set to headline virtual concert series

Sprite will spotlight three up-and-coming hip-hop artists with the launch of “Live From The Label,” a three-part virtual concert series happening this summer.
To kick off the program, Atlanta-based rapper Latto will headline the first concert on July 29.
Latto’s first two singles made her the first female solo rapper from Atlanta to go gold or platinum, according to her label RCA. Now, the Clayton County native will return to perform at SpaceCondo Live.

Parents criticize song for encouraging modest clothing for girls

Christian singer Matthew West’s latest song, “Modest Is Hottest,” sparked outrage from angry parents.
The song was released June 18, and it begins with West telling his two daughters, featured in the music video, “it’s time to have a talk.”
